JSL Essentials was founded by Katie Warner, an experienced sports and holistic therapist. Katie has an unconditional love for all things natural and began her holistic journey at a very young age. Katie began accepting her curls 10 years ago—before that, she literally never left the house without her flat iron! She eventually grew tired of trying to conform to society and the false image of "perfection," so she decided to embrace her natural curls. She tried many products but had a hard time finding the right combination for her fine hair and loose curls, so she decided to make her own products. This soon led to cosmetic legislation and organic hair and skin care qualifications, which Katie used to start her journey in developing and manufacturing plant-based curly hair, skin, and household products. JSL Essentials was created at the end of 2021, using mainly plant-based ingredients to honor Katie's family's British farming heritage. Sadly, Katie lost her father, so she decided to dedicate her business to him and name the brand after him. JSL is an acronym formed from the initial letters of her father's name. From the beginning to the present day, Katie has been creating the recipes, manufacturing, and packaging all of the products herself.
All of the products are vegan.
